Want to host an event?

Unallocated Space is a community space first and foremost. If you are looking for a place to host an event, look no further!

All events must have a keyholder present to open the building and assure everyone’s safety. If you are not a keyholder, make sure to indicate that you will need one on the event submission form.

Weekly Recurring Events

Project Night & MACRO: Mondays, 6 pm to 10 pm

• Come work on your project amongst friends or find something new to try.
• The Maryland Area Combat Robotics Organization (MACRO) [link to https://www.facebook.com/Macrobot.us] meets at Unallocated Space to create battle robots to face off in combat.

Open House & TOOOL: Wednesdays, 6 pm to 10 pm

• The perfect night to come check us out! Bring a project or just come to say hello!
• The Open Organization of Lockpickers (TOOOL) [link to https://toool.us/] meets at Unallocated Space the second Wednesday of every month. Learn the ethics around locksporting and start to master the art with this hands-on event.

Infosec and DC443 Night: Every other Friday, 6 pm to 10 pm

• Central Maryland Defcon group. Hosting presentations and discussions about infosec, red teaming, and other subjects.
• A biweekly evening of infosec classes, talks, and hands-on events like capture the flag (CTF).

LAN Parties

• Bring your computer and enjoy 12 hours of food and games.

LEGO Days

• A family-friendly event where people share their love of LEGO.
• Bring your own kit or play with our bins of LEGO.

Analog Gaming

• An event for the board game lover! Play a game with our group.
• Feel free to bring your own game if you wish.

Queers and Beers (And Other Delightful Drinks)

• An all-age social event for our LGBTQIA+ members and allies.
• Bring a snack and a drink to share. (21+ can drink alcoholic beverages if they wish.)

• 3D Printing Night
  • A night of 3D printing geared toward all skill levels.
• Ham Radio Night
  • Monthly meeting of the Unallocated Amateur Radio Club.
• Minicon
  • An event dedicated to sharing what we have learned with others.
• SDR
  • Learn about Software Defined Radio and analyzing radio signals.
• Hackathon
  • At least 24 hours worth of productivity aimed at improving infrastructure.
