UnallocatedSpace Family,

As you’re all well aware by now, communities around the globe are fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic. Yesterday (March 12th) at 4PM governor Larry Hogan held a press conference in which he declared Maryland as being in a State of Emergency. Also during that conference he enacted an executive order which prohibits large gatherings and events as well as closing senior centers. While UnallocatedSpace does not host events with members of 250+ people, the board has decided that for the safety of our members as well as the general public, effective today (March 13th, 2020) UnallocatedSpace we will be operating under a “temporary shutdown”. During this time, UAS will not be hosting in-person events or be open to the public. We will be taking this time to ensure that the space is being properly sanitized and safe for our membership.

In the interim, the board will be looking to upgrade our remote hosting capabilities along with hosting events remotely instead of canceling them. If anyone wants to help out with this endeavor or if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at: board @ unallocatedspace.org

I am extremely sorry for this inconvenience and I’m working to keep the space running as much as possible during this pandemic. The board will reevaluate the situation weekly and if anything should change, there will be an update posted here.
