Tuesday, April 19th will be our third monthly “Flex Your Rights Night.” The central purpose of Flex Your Rights Nights are to provoke discussion and focus on the legal issues surrounding individual civil rights and how to protect them as it relates to encounters with law enforcement, in the context of technology, in everyday society, or in the abstract.

For this month’s Flex Your Rights Night, we will be starting at 7PM and watching a video by Professor James Duane of the Regent Unversity School of Law entitled, “Don’t Talk to the Police!” Professor Duane’s video focuses on the Fifth Amendment’s protection against self incrimination.

We’ll follow up with a discussion session about the video, questions and answers, and your feedback about how we can continue on with Flex Your Rights nights in the future.
We hope to see you at the Space on Tuesday, April 19th!
