  1. We just wanted to do this quick introduction. Our name is DFW Makers Club, located in dfw – dallas fort worth. We are to our knowledge the latest hackerspace to open up in the dallas fort worth metroplex. We are for the most part a group of students who are starting this great project and are going through the steps to eventually open our doors to the public at large early next year. We are trying to meet up to our challenges and overcome them in the process to build an organization like ours. We will update you with any significant project that we do and the latest happenings regarding our organization. Lets us know if you have any questions would be more than happy to answer anything. Of course, we would appreciate any word of advice or any support in spirit or in substance. Also, you can see us on our website http://www.dfwmakersclub.org.

    Thank You.

  2. Proto17 says:

Glad to hear that another hackerspace/makerspace is starting up in the area! Do you yet know exactly what kinds of events/projects that your group will be working on? If Unallocated Space can be of any assistance, just let us know!

  3. you guys are awesome and seem like a welcoming bunch. thank you a lot for the offer for your help, though we are in texas. so while you are too far away to assist us physically, there are other things we need help with. we are mostly from humble backgrounds given most of us are students. therefore, we are having a hard time coming up with the funds for a dedicated space to establish a permanent presence. given the background of your hackerspace, we have three questions.

what did you do at first that helped you in establishing yourself?

what helped you financially in establishing yourself(outside of kickstarter)?

and what did you do in your kickstarter campaign that made it a success?

you can follow us on our website, http://www.dfwmakersclub.org and on our facebook page, facebook.com/dfwmakersclub. we would really appreciate it if you spread the word about our hackerspace.
Thank you, we appreciate your offer of help :) .
